Apple Email Problems

Emails won’t send. I can receive emails but not send any. Help!! There are a few things that can be checked to get your emails working.

Step 1

From the Home screen, choose Settings.

Next, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Step 3

Select the account you which to fix (there may be more than one)

Step 4

Scroll down to the bottom, OUTGOING MAIL SETTINGS

Step 5

Directly below your outgoing mail server SMTP click this

Under other SMTP servers it may say off, click this and turn it on – if you are under WIFI you may need to turn on OTHER SMTP SERVERS and put in who your provider is (Telstra, Optus, iiNet etc with the login details from them) Server port either 587 or 465

Step 7

After this is verified, check that the issue is fixed by trying to send an email (if not see option 2)

Obviously Option 1 didn't worked for you - let's hope this one does

Scroll down to the bottom, INCOMING MAIL SETTINGS

Choose Advanced

Step 6

In advanced account settings under income settings switch the use SSL on and make sure the server port is either 993 or 995!
